Wait for it….UQSC now UQFC!
After years and years of trying, it has finally happened - the Club has officially changed its name from ‘University of Queensland Soccer Club Incorporated’ (UQSC) to ‘The University of Queensland Football Club Inc’ (UQFC).
Our name now resembles that of 60+ (and growing) clubs out of a total of 72 in Brisbane, as well as finally matching the transition from ’soccer’ to ‘football’ amongst our national, state and zone regulatory bodies.
Thanks to all involved in the process (it was far, far more onerous than many might suspect…). Time to celebrate.

UQSC wins big at the recent UQ Blues awards night
Congratulations to Jules Chan who was awarded the ‘2009 UQ Coach of the Year’ for his stellar effort with the Men’s Metro 1 squad (2009 Premiers, Grand Finalists and Metro Cup Champions).
Good on the Club! UQSC was also recipient of the ‘2009 Hulbert Bursary Award’ (also commonly known as the Club of the Year award).
The awards were based upon sporting prowess across all the University Clubs – awesome effort.
