CREATE YOUR OWN SOCIAL TEAM AT UQ!
Interested playing full field soccer, but in a strictly social manner in 2012? We are intending to create our own on-campus strictly social competition and are looking for managers for several new teams.
That’s right – all games to be played at St Lucia. No more trips to Beenleigh or Redcliffe!
So, if you and some mates are keen to play and want to build a team – get involved.
The competition is focussed on UQ Students, Graduates and staff but non-UQ related people are welcome to participate.
For 2012, the competition will only be a men’s competition, but depending on how things go we intend to expand into a women’s comp as well.
Register your interest to manage a squad at uqfcsocial@gmail.com.
Training moved to UQ for 18 January
Due to unfortunate weather conditions we are unable to run a training session at Kenmore FC on Wednesday night 18 January.
All players interested in selection for the Holland Park Hawks pre-season game squads (or the Silver Boot squad) for this weekend’s scheduled games should attend for a fitness session (bring runners) at Field 3, University of Queensland (Sir William MacGregor Drive) from 6.30 pm instead.
Please note that squads are not yet completely finalised, so wherever possible preference will be given to those in attendance. Pending weather, training will return to Kenmore FC for next week’s sessions.
